Our Mission Type

Testers: Apply Here>>
  • Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) Testing

It involves finding experienced testers in specific regions to check if the game works properly in their location—testing things like language accuracy, cultural appropriateness, regional compliance, and network performance. Since it’s project-based and requires skilled testers, it’s more structured and selective.

  • Regional Compatibility Testing

Type of testing you’re referring to is “Beta Testing” or “Playtesting.” This is more about getting mass feedback from everyday players on gameplay experience, characters, mechanics, and overall enjoyment. Since it doesn’t require experienced testers, anyone can participate, and it’s usually done globally for unreleased games.

FAQ

  • I'm new to the server. What should I do and how can I apply for a test?

You can access a step-by-step guide in this PDF, complete with images. It'll walk you through setting up your tester profile and applying for a test: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Jax-TZI5XrzdSS0ZRc2zN6-tdXobgGT/view

  • There aren't any job openings for my country. Should I leave the server?

We're a global testing platform with tests having varying regional requirements based on client needs. Even if there's no active test for your region now, we post new projects weekly. Keep an eye on the job panel to catch new test opportunities.

  • What's a Network Test?

A Network Test checks local server/internet speed. Usually, it involves using Wi-Fi and/or 4G carriers.

  • What's a Payment Test?

A Payment Test verifies local payment options, accurate currency display, and the payment process.

  • What's a Game Resources Test?

A Game Resources Test explores new in-game resources and hunts for gameplay bugs or errors.

  • I lack playtest experience. Should I still apply?

Absolutely! No prior experience is necessary. If chosen, you'll receive test cases outlining the required tests, supported by the Project Leader and Testhive Staff.

  • Can I use a VPN to join tests from other countries/regions?

Using a VPN isn't allowed during our tests. Regional requirements are crucial to test regional servers, local settings, and payment options accurately. VPN use could compromise the trustworthiness of the test results, so it's strictly prohibited.

  • Someone who claims to be a TestHive staff member messaged me. Should I trust them?

Occasionally, we might reach out directly to invite you to a specific project or to ask for more related information. To verify if the person is truly a TestHive staff member, locate them on the server using their Discord ID and click on their name. In their profile, you'll see their roles—if they have an 'Admin' or 'Moderator' role, they are an active TestHive staff member. Please note that we NEVER ask for sensitive information like your credit card number.

  • Someone who isn't a member of the TestHive Staff messaged me or sent a proposal on the server. Should I trust them?

Any job offers or proposals unrelated to TestHive are strictly prohibited on our server. While we endeavor to maintain strict moderation, occasionally individuals may bypass our controls, particularly in direct messages. We strongly advise against placing trust in anyone offering opportunities outside of TestHive, as these may likely be scams beyond our control. If you encounter such posts on the server or receive unsolicited messages, we urge you to promptly notify our staff so that appropriate action can be taken.

  • Is it possible to select roles for all regions to view and apply for all test projects?

Each of our projects has specific regional requirements necessitating the use of local resources. Consequently, testers must be physically present in the respective region to effectively assess the project's requirements. As it is impossible to be physically present in multiple regions simultaneously, individuals are restricted from holding roles for multiple countries. Applicants with multiple country roles who apply for testing projects will not be considered for selection.
